Boyle Heights

Boyle Heights is one of the oldest communities in Los Angeles, set east of the Los Angeles River, along what was historically known as Brooklyn Avenue, named by emigrants from the heavily Jewish community in Brooklyn, NY.

Today, the street is named for Cesar Chavez and is the vibrant commercial hub of the largely hispanic community.
