Director for the City of Los Angeles Followed by a dialogue with the audience Panel Discussion Hon. Cynthia Ruiz, President of the Board of Public Works and Jay Kim, Senior Planner for the Department of Transportation will join Ms Goldberg and Ms. Gabel-Luddy in a discussion geared to using the City's resources within the public right-of-way to improve the visual character of our communities. Followed by a dialogue with the audience. Budget Issue We will focus on the current controversy surrounding the $50,000 annual allocation to each Neighborhood Council. The current draft budget calls for that to be reduced to $45,000, but there has been a movement to dramatically reduce the amount further, to approximately $11,200.
